Mortified-Los Angeles

Reading/sharing audio tape, diary and photos

KNYB Radio: In High School I started 9th Grade as “The New Kid” and also “The Really Gay Kid” and at South Tahoe High School that’s a really bad combo so rather than let bullies get the upper hand I ran away, to my room and created the fake empire of KNYB Radio. I spent each day writing dramas, comedies, commercials, news programs and talk shows, cobbled together a make-shift recording studio, cast my sisters and a few neighbors, recorded the shows and then distributed them to strangers church-goer on 90 min. cassettes.

They were terrible.

Tune into Mortified this week and hear a little KNYB, captions are provided.

Mortified-Los Angeles

(audio tape, diary and photos) bullied teen stopped going to school and ran away - to his room to create a full-blown fake radio station.  He writes, produces, acts and records 90 minute cassette tapes and hands them out to family, strangers, and, worst idea of all; people at church.
